emotionally "out there"

I just sent a bunch of personal information to lots of people I haven’t seen in quite some time. I just hope I haven’t embarassed myself in front of several hundred of my oldest acquaintances.

impending doom

I just went outside to get the mail and my neighbor, who was mowing another neighbor’s lawn, got my attention and pointed to three large buzzards perched high in some trees at the edge of the woods beside our house. What died?! I wondered. Or what is going to die? I’ll admit the sight of them up there was a bit unsettling.
